‘Hansi always has a recipe’ - Lewandowski talks Barca’s win
The striker was on target against his former side
Robert Lewandowski praised manager Hansi Flick after scoring in Barcelona’s Champions League win over Bayern Munich.
The striker had a good night against his former club as Flick guided his team to an impressive 4-1 victory at Montjuic.
Here’s what Lewandowski made of a great night for the Catalans.
“Hansi always has a recipe. We believe in him, he believes in us,” he told DAZN.
“He always manages to find a balance between experienced players and young players so that we all move together in the same direction.”
Lewandowski also had some kind words for Barcelona’s youngsters as a team packed full of La Masia graduates overcame the Bavarian giants.
“A win against Bayern Munich is something special not only for Barcelona, but also for me. But today on the pitch I had to throw all that away. We were a bit more energetic than Bayern,” he added.
“I’m happy because it’s a very, very young team. You get the feeling that if you hold a meeting here, if you give tactical instructions, they implement them immediately. So I’m very, very proud.”
Barcelona will now be hoping Flick can come up with another winning recipe on Saturday night when they face Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.
