‘He’s an animal’ - Casado showered with praise after Spain win
The midfielder is enjoying himself
Marc Casado has received plenty of plaudits already this season after breaking into the first team at Barcelona and Spain and has been showered with more praise after La Roja’s win over Switzerland on Monday.
The Barcelona midfielder made his first senior start in the 3-2 victory and certainly made a good impression on goalscorer Bryan Zaragoza.
“He’s an animal,” he said after the match. “I don’t even know what to say about how he played. He’s barbaric.”
And then it was over to Spain boss Luis de la Fuente to wax lyrical about Casado yet again.
“Marc has been with us for a game and a half and plays like a veteran” he added. “I never cease to be amazed by his maturity when I see him play with that confidence, that security and that control of the situation.”
Casado certainly looked to have impressed De la Fuente on his first Spain call-up but will now return to Barcelona to begin preparations to face Celta.
