Fingers crossed

Barcelona are reportedly in talks over securing another financial lever that will bring in fresh income and allow Dani Olmo to be registered.

As we all know, Olmo is only registered until the end of the year after Barca freed up space when Andreas Christensen was ruled out for four months in the summer.

President Joan Laporta has been working hard on possible solutions, and Diario Sport now sound confident he’s found an answer to the problem.

The Catalan giants are said to be negotiating the sale of special VIP seats at the Camp Nou for the next 20 years which could potentially bring in income of around €200 million.

It’s a move previously done by Real Madrid and other European clubs and Barca are hoping to follow suit.

Barca think this could therefore finally return them to the 1:1 rule and allow Olmo, and Pau Victor for that matter, to be registered. There’s also confidence contract renewals for Pedri and Gavi can also be completed.

The report claims Barca are hoping that everything can be finalised by January 9 - the start of their Spanish Super Cup campaign in Saudi Arabia.
