Bayern Munich join race to sign Nico Williams
The Bavarians want to bring in a top winger
Bayern Munich have reportedly become the latest club to express an interest in Spain and Athletic Club star Nico Williams.
Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg has offered an update and claims Nico is very much on the club’s radar for 2025.
“Max Eberl and Christoph Freund aim to strengthen their squad with one or two top-tier wingers next summer, depending on the situations of Sané, Gnabry, Coman, and Zaragoza,” he posted on X.
“The 22 y/o Spaniard from Athletic Bilbao is expected to be available for €50-60m in the summer, putting him on Bayern’s radar.”
It’s not known yet if Barcelona will reignite their interest in Williams. It was claimed recently they would go for him again, but it’s also been reported they are no longer interested due to the form of Raphinha and Lamine Yamal.
Meanwhile, the rumor mill has also claimed in recent weeks that Williams is far more open to a move now and only wants to play for Barcelona.
The only thing we can say for sure is - expect plenty more Nico updates in 2025.
