'A scandal!' - Laporta rips refereeing after Barca denied penalty at Getafe
The president is furious
Barcelona president Joan Laporta has blasted the refereeing during Saturday's 1-1 draw with Getafe in La Liga.
The visitors had a penalty claim in the second half when Jules Kounde was pulled down by Uche but it was not given.
Match referee González Fuertes opted not to give a spot-kick and VAR Hernández Maeso did not interfere either. The decision angered many fans, particularly as Real Madrid had been given a penalty at Getafe for a similar incident.
Laporta shared his thoughts on Monday as he shared a word with reporters.
"The refereeing in Getafe was a disgrace," he said.
"Not giving Koundé a penalty is a scandal. You should repeat it more often because it was a scandal.”
It's not the first time this season that Barcelona have been left frustrated by refereeing decisions and, unfortunately, you suspect it won't be the last either.
