Barca starlet Unai Hernandez in talks over Al-Ittihad move
The youngster could be off
Barcelona youngster Unai Hernandez has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad.
The Saudi club have opened talks with Barcelona over a potential move for the 20-year-old, according to Mundo Deportivo and Sport.
Unai is out of contract at the end of the season and is said to be “willing” to head to Al-Ittihad on what would be a lucrative contract.
Sport say that Unai has even asked not to be part of the squad for the team’s next game as he’s currently in talks over a move.
It’s thought Al-Ittihad could pay a fee of around 5 million for Unai, if Barcelona agree to let him go in the winter window.
Former Barca technical director Ramon Planes is currently at Al-Ittihad and has previously said his club are interested in players from the Catalan side.
Al-Ittihad are coached by former Barca and France star Laurent Blanc and have superstars such as N’Golo Kante and Karim Benzema in their squad.
