What a surprise
La Liga president Javier Tebas has made it pretty clear he has no sympathy for Dani Olmo as he continues to try and get his registration cancelled at Barcelona.
Olmo is still waiting for a final decision on his situation at Barcelona.
The Catalans secured a temporary injunction that has allowed him to keep playing for now ahead of a verdict from the Consejo Superior de Deportes (CSD).
Tebas has already confirmed La Liga still want Olmo’s registration cancelled and told Süddeutsche Zeitung that the Spain star knew it was a risk when he signed.
“Yes (there is a chance his registration could be cancelled),” he said.
“Do I feel sorry for the player? He knew when he signed his contract that he could be at risk of not being registered to play.
“And if that happens, there’s nothing you can do. There are also players who get injured…”
The CSD are expected to make a final decision by early April.
