Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has admitted he didn’t get much sleep after Sunday’s thrilling win over Atletico in La Liga.

Lewandowski was on target in the comeback victory as Barca recovered from 2-0 down to win 4-2 and move back top the top of the table.

Here’s what he made of it all:

“Honestly, I didn’t sleep well after the match. We arrived back in Barcelona at 3 a.m., and when I got home, I didn’t get much sleep. Then I had to fly early in the morning, so I didn’t get enough rest, and I plan to make up for it today,” he told reporters after linking up with the Poland squad.

“As for the general feeling, of course, a game like this gives you a huge morale boost, especially when you’re 2-0 down and then score four goals and win. This kind of victory boosts your self-confidence, especially with so many games left in the season. It’s great to come to the national team training camp after a win; it gives you positive energy.”

Lewandowski is now due to face Lithuania and Malta in World Cup qualifiers over the international break.
