Fati’s future still up in the air as agent offers update after Barca talks

Ansu Fati’s future at Barcelona still seems to be up in the air after the forward made a return to the starting XI at the weekend.
The youngster has appeared surplus to requirements this season under Hansi Flick but was handed a glimmer of hope against Real Mallorca.
Fati put in a decent showing in the 1-0 win, with Flick seemingly happy with his performance when discussing the game afterwards.
Jorge Mendes, Fati’s agent, has now jetted in for talks with Barcelona about his future but didn’t have much to say when quizzed by reporters.
“He’s fine. He’s fine. Everything’s fine,” he told El Chiringuito when asked about the situation. He was then asked if Fati would be staying and replied only: “I don’t know yet.”
Much may depend on if Fati gets any more chances between now and the end of the season. He’s likely to return to the bench on Saturday when Barca take on Madrid in the Copa del Rey final.
