Szczesny reveals Yamal ignored his advice before opting for new look
The goalkeer had a different idea
Barcelona goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has revealed Lamine Yamal ignored his advice after opting for a new look ahead of the Copa del Rey final.
Yamal showed off a new blond look before taking on Los Blancos in Seville on Saturday night.
Szczesny was asked for the reason behind Yamal’s look and didn’t want to spill the beans, although he did says he had advised his team-mate to shave his head.
“No, don’t ask me... Don’t ask me, because tomorrow I’ll be in the headlines in the Spanish newspapers,” the told TVP Sport.
“I’ll tell you this, [on Friday] there was a hairdresser at our hotel for players who wanted to change their hairstyle.
“I tried to convince him to change it and cut it completely, but he didn’t listen.”
Yamal went on to bag two assists for Barcelona as Hansi Flick ran out 3-2 winners at La Cartuja to lift the Copa del Rey.
