‘He’s our No.1’ - Ter Stegen back in Germany squad after injury

The stopper is fit again
Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has been recalled to the Germany squad after making his comeback from injury.
Ter Stegen has missed most of the 2024-25 season for club and country after undergoing knee surgery back in September.
However, he has successfully made his comeback for Barcelona and is now in the Germany squad for upcoming Nations League fixtures.

Manager Julian Nagelsmann spoke about the stopper after announcing his squad.
“I’ve always emphasized that Marc is our No. 1. I spoke to Hansi and he said that Marc is showing top performances and is in top shape,” he told reporters.
“He played two games and will probably play again on Sunday. We’re looking forward to having him back. It’s the right decision.”
Germany are due to play Portugal in the semi-finals of the tournament on June 4 and will hope to progress to a final showdown against Spain or France.
