Martinez banned for Barcelona’s clash with Espanyol

He’s been hit with a one-match ban
Barcelona will have to cope without Inigo Martinez on Thursday when they take on Espanyol in La Liga.
Martinez picked up his fifth yellow card of the season agaisnt Real Madrid on Sunday afternoon and so will serve a one-match ban.
The defender has been a regular in the starting XI for Hansi Flick this season and came in for huge praise from the Barca boss ahead of El Clasico.
However, he will sit the next game out, with Flick likely to bring in Ronald Araujo or Andreas Christensen in his place.
Pau Cubarsi should be fit for the match despite going off against Madrid. The youngster didn’t suffer an injury but had been struggling with a stomach virus.
Barcelona can win the title on Thursday night against Espanyol. Hansi Flick’s side need just two more points to clinch top spot after beating Real Madrid 4-3 on Sunday at Montjuic.
