‘Absolutely reprehensible’ - Barca accused of ‘bullying’ Ter Stegen

Victor Font has had his say
Barcelona have been criticised by Victor Font and accused of “bullying” goalkeeper and captain Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
The Catalans are set to announce the signing of Joan Garcia shortly in a move which could see Ter Stegen forced out of Catalunya.
Garcia is expected to be first choice next season, with Wojciech Szczęsny as his back-up, leaving Ter Stegen surplus to requirements.
Font has spoken about the situation and thinks Garcia is a “good signing” but isn’t happy about the way the club have gone about the transfer.
“Barça don’t know how to treat their captains, their legends well,” he told Catalunya Radio.
“It’s absolutely reprehensible that Ter Stegen hasn’t spoken to anyone at the club, that he has to find out about everything from leaks in the press and that there is this kind of bullying of a player who has been with us for so many years.”
Ter Stegen has been linked with a move to Galatasaray, although it’s also been claimed he has absolutely no intention of leaving and wants to fight for his place.
