Inigo Martinez explains shock decision to swap Barcelona for Al-Nassr

Inigo Martinez has opened on his decision to leave Barcelona for Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr.
The transfer came as a real shock, with Martinez a regular starter at Barcelona, but he says that he was convinced to head to the Middle East after speaking with fellow players.
“When the opportunity came to join I had a few conversations with teammates who spoke very highly of both the club and the atmosphere in the locker room which is excellent that’s why I decided to take the step,” he said.
“I hope to be up to the task, my commitment will never be in doubt, I hope to see you all soon so we can enjoy this together, sending a big hug to everyone and see you soon.”
Martinez terminated his contract at Barcelona and moved on a free transfer after a season where he won La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup with Hansi Flick’s side.
