Lamine Yamal sends message after missing out on Ballon d’Or to Ousmane Dembele
Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has posted a message on Instagram after missing out on the Ballon d’Or to PSG star Ousmane Dembele.
The 18-year-old finished second in the standings after a sensational 12 months but did take home the Kopa Trophy for the second year in a row.
Yamal has now reacted with a post on social media, writing: “God’s plan is perfect, you have to climb to get to the top. Happy for the Kopa trophy x2 and congratulate Dembele for the award and the great season.”
The Barcelona teenager has previously admitted he’s dreaming of winning multiple Ballons d’Or during his career and will certainly be hoping he can go one better in 2026.
Yamal is currently sidelined through injury but was spotted training alone on Tuesday as Barcelona returned to work ahead of busy few weeks.
The teenager is being tipped to make his return against Real Sociedad at the weekend and then be ready to face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
