Manchester United reportedly believe that Marcus Rashford is now worth around £50 million after impressing on loan with Barcelona.

Rashford has enjoyed life with Hansi Flick’s side and has 10 goals and 10 assists in 34 appearances so far this season in all competitions.

There is a purchase option in his current contract for him to stay at Barcelona which is set at around £26m. Barca are reportedly hoping to lower that amount but United aren’t interested in negotiating.

And a new report from The Mirror claims that the Red Devils are actually regretting the terms of the loan and now think he’s worth more like £50 million. There’s also a claim that “several other clubs” are now interested in signing the England star.

All of which means it’s difficult to know what will happen with Rashford after the current campaign. He has said he wants to stay at Barcelona but it’s not clear if the Catalans will pay the £26m option.

There has been talk that Michael Carrick wants Rashford back at United, but it’s not guaranteed yet he will stay on as coach after taking over on a caretaker basis until the end of the season.
