Barcelona goalkeeper Joan Garcia received some good news on Friday as he was named in the Spain squad for their March international friendlies against Serbia and Egypt.

Joan had been left off Luis de la Fuente’s squad all season despite his amazing performances for Barcelona, but he finally gets a chance to show the national team’s coaching staff what he’s capable of. This will be Joan’s only chance to make an impression ahead of the World Cup, but his club performances certainly give him a strong case to compete with Unai Simón, David Raya and Álex Remiro for the starting spot this summer.
