Barcelona sporting director Deco reportedly has a plan up his sleeve in case the club can’t keep hold of Joao Cancelo past the end of the season.

Cancelo is on loan from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal and it’s not clear where he will play next season. Barca are hoping he can terminte his contract and move for free, but it’s thought Al-Hilal want a transfer fee.

According to UOL in Brazil, Barcelona are thinking about an alternative and Deco has already been in touch with the agent of Monaco left-back Caio Henrique to talk about a potential transfer.

Henrique is a player who has been linked with Barcelona several times in recent years and is once again seeing a move to the Camp Nou being speculated upon.

The report claims Monaco want around 15 million euros for the full-back if he is to move on this summer.

Marc Cucurella’s name has also been mentioned ahead of the summer transfer window, and he has admitted he would find it tough to turn down a move back to Barca, but any move looks almost impossible due to his lofty price tag.
