Barcelona players have made it crystal clear to Julian Alvarez that he would be welcome at the Camp Nou this summer by taking it in turns to talk up the Argentina international.

Marc Bernal has now shared his thoughts on the Atletico Madrid star and has piled more praise on the forward.

“Personally, I like him a lot. He’s a game-changer and he’s had a great season at Atlético Madrid,” he told Mundo Deportivo.

“Of course I’d like him to come, but that’s not up to me. That decision rests with the club, the president, Deco, and Flick.”

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has said an offer has already been made for Alvarez and the Catalans are expected to make an improved bid shortly.

Indeed the latest update on the transfer saga has claimed Barcelona will try again for Alvarez but are prepared to move on to other targets if a deal can’t be agreed in the coming weeks.
