Barça and Man United met to negotiate Pedro deal in Barcelona, per report

Monday for Barcelona was not just about the Spanish Supercup second leg against Athletic Bilbao; another important issue for the club got new developments.

According to reports from Mundo Deportivo, Manchester United executive Ed Woodward traveled to Catalonia to meet with Ariedo Braida and the whole Barça sporting comission to negotiate the sale of Pedro Rodríguez. Sources also confirmed the story to Barça Blaugranes. It was the first time that both clubs negotiated face to face.

Woodward improved his initial offer, which was originally of €25 million. The Catalan club insists that they won't accept unless the Red Devils pay Pedro's buyout clause, of €30 million. While Woodward maintained the €25 million initial fee, he added a €5 million performance clause, which will bring profits to the Blaugrana if the Spanish winger plays a minimum of games.

President Josep Maria Bartomeu said after the game that they'll only accept the full buyout fee, but sources say the other club officials are on board with the new offer. The player wants to go away, and United have found a way to pay what Barça want.
