Claudio Bravo, looking to break his own record
The Chilean goalkeeper can surpass his streak of 754 minutes without conceding a league goal when Barça take on Atlético Madrid
Since joining FC Barcelona last summer, Claudio Bravo has proven to be the hardest keeper to beat in La Liga.
Over the course of last season, the Chilean conceded just 19 goals in 37 league matches, earning the Zamora Trophy in the process. Bravo kept a total of 23 clean sheets, breaking the club record held jointly by Victor Valdés and Andoni Zubizarreta, with 20 each.
The 32-year-old kept eight consecutive shutouts at the start of the 2014/15 season, eventually having his record ended after 754 minutes.
Going for his own record
Despite his feats, Bravo is still hungry for more and has started the new season where he left off in the last, with clean sheets in the opening two matches. The last goal he conceded came back on 11 April against Sevilla and has since gone eight games without having to pick the ball out of his net.
As a result, Bravo now has the chance to surpass his own streak at the Vicente Calderón against Atlético Madrid if he manages to fend off the opposition beyond minute 35 of the match.
