Vuit precedents amb l'Athletic Club per a creure en la remuntada
Barça and Athletic Club Bilbao have faced each other on numerous occasions down the years and eight of the games between them have ended in a result which if repeated on Monday night would be enough for Barça to lift their 12th Spanish Super Cup trophy.

Five big wins at the Camp Nou
In 1949/50 at the Les Corts ground, Barça beat Athletic Club Bilbao 5-0 with two goals each from Aretio and Basora and a fifth from César Rodríguez. That was the only time that result has been achieved, but a 4-0 result – which would tie the final – has happened on five occasions, with four of those results coming at the Camp Nou. Luis Enrique played in two of those wins under Louis Van Gaal in the 1997/98 and 1999/00 seasons, with the other wins coming in the 1964/65 and 1974/75 campaigns.
The most spectacular result between the two was the last time Barça got a result that would see them win on Monday, when they beat Bilbao 7-0 in the 2000/2001 season, when Luis Enrique bagged a hat trick, with Abelardo, Overmars and Cocu(2) getting the other goals. Barça have also chalked up the goals in a couple of games, with Hristo Stòitxkov famously scoring four in the 0-6 victory in 1990/91 and a 0-4 win ten years later.
