FC Barcelona wear shirts in support of Rafinha

The players came onto the field at Balaídos with a special message for the Brazilian, who was seriously injured in Rome

Balaídos honoured Rafinha before kick-off this evening in Vigo. FC Barcelona are playing Celta, the team the Brazilian played for in the 2013/14 season, so both sets off players have reason to wish him a swift recovery from the serious injury he suffered away to AS Roma, and on which surgery was performed this week.

The Barça players emerged from the tunnel wearing special shirts with a message in Portuguese saying ‘Muita Força Rafinha’. Meanwhile, the  Celta team wore a X shirt with the message ‘XXX’.

The first team squad have gone to great lengths to ensure that their team-mate knows that they have him in their thoughts. They flooded their social networks with words of encouragement when it was revealed just how bad the injury is, and against Levante, Bartra, Neymar and Messi all dedicated their goals to him using a shirt with his name of the back.
