The Club will appeal against Piqué's ban

The player has been handed a four game ban for his red card in the Spanish Super Cup

FC Barcelona will appeal to the Appeals Committee against the four match ban handed to Gerard Piqué for his red card in the second leg of the Spanish Super Cup against Athletic on Monday. The Club has a period of ten days to present their appeal.

In the appeal, the player, just as he has repeated on various occasions, will point out that he did not address the referee’s assistant in the terms recorded in referee Velasco Carballo’s match report.
