Liverpool don’t have to sell Coutinho to pay for Van Dijk, says Klopp
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has played down speculation that his club will have to sell Philippe Coutinho to help pay for Virgil van Dijk.
The Reds have splashed out an eye-popping £75 million on the Southampton defender but Klopp says they don’t need to balance the books.
“No,” he said. “Nobody told me that.“We have good player and we don’t have to sell anybody because of that. So fair play to our owners that they are ambitious.”Source | The Mirror
Barcelona continue to be linked with Coutinho in what is turning out to be yet another tedious transfer saga that shows no sign of being resolved any time soon.
Reports claim Barcelona will land the Brazilian in January but it’s still difficult to see Liverpool selling one of their best players midway through the season.
