Six days after earning a 4–1 victory over AS Roma at Camp Nou in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals, FC Barcelona heads to the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, Italy for the second leg, looking to qualify for the semifinals for the first time since the 2014/15 season.

FC Barcelona are getting ready to try and seal their passage to the semifinals of the Champions League. Ernesto Valverde and his team are in Rome, where on Tuesday they will play the return leg of the quarterfinals of the competition (8.45pm CET, TV3 / Antena 3). Though they are 4-1 ahead from the first leg, they won’t relax.

As for Roma’s approach, Valverde explained: “I expect a similar approach to the first leg and how they’ve played all season. They’ll have more intensity, especially from the beginning, and they’ll want to score quickly I imagine. They have to take risks and we have to play a great game to get through.”

One of the keys for the blaugranes will be keeping a clean sheet and Ter Stegen will have a leading role in that challenge. “We are working hard defensively and that is something we have to do until the end of the season. It’s something that helps us win tough matches because we have a lot of quality up front and the goals come sooner or later,” concluded the keeper.
