Rumors: Martial, Sessegnon, Luis Alberto, De Ligt and Lenglet
Barcelona want Martial and Sessegnon
Today’s rumours start in the Premier League with news that Barcelona are ready to throw £60 million in Manchester United’s direction. In return they’d quite like Anthony Martial.
According to the Daily Mail (so, you know) Martial is fed up with life on the bench at Old Trafford and Barcelona could make a move as they were interested in last summer.
The report also reckons that Barca are keeping tabs on Fulham starlet Ryan Sessegnon who has enjoyed a brilliant season. He’s also become the first player outside the top flight to be nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year award.
Luis Alberto to replace Andres Iniesta?
Barcelona also quite fancy Lazio’s Luis Alberto and think he’ll make the perfect replacement for Andres Iniesta who’s off to China.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Football Italia) report that Barca sent scouts to watch him in action in Lazio’s goalless draw with Roma on Sunday.
Luis Alberto is expected to cost €30 million and knows the Camp Nou well having spent a season on loan with Barcelona B.
Liverpool to rival Barcelona for Lenglet
However, Barcelona are set to face competition for Sevilla defender Clement Lenglet from Liverpool.
Reports just yesterday reckoned Barcelona had already held talks with Lenglet, but AS claim the Reds are also on the case as they seek to strengthen their defence.
Bayern Munich make De Ligt offer
Another Barcelona target is also in the news as Mundo Deportivo report that Bayern Munich have made an offer to Ajax for Matthijs de Ligt.
The defender is a wanted man with Manchester United, City and Arsenal also keen on the 18-year-old.
Incoming Bayern coach Niko Kovac wants to strengthen the Bayern defence, but De Ligt will reportedly wait until the end of the season to make a decision on his future.
Barca starlet Bernebe to move to Man City
And finally today we end with news that yet another Barcelona youngster is set for pastures new.
Adrian Bernabe Garcia will leave the club at the end of the season and head for Manchester City, so say Sport.
The 16-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and has already agreed terms with Pep Guardiola’s side.
