Griezmann says he’s still thinking about his future

Today’s Antoine Griezmann update comes courtesy of the man himself who says he still hasn’t made up his mind about where he’s going to play his football next season.

Griezmann’s future is dominating the headlines in the run-up to the World Cup and will continue to do so after the Frenchman said his future is still up in the air.

“I am thinking about my future, but I still haven’t made a decision,” he told Spox.

Griezmann also spoke in length about his career and his ambitions, but it’s difficult to read too much into any of it. He did say that the Champions League is his main target.

“The Champions League is an obsession for me and for the club, too. It’s been the big objective since the start of my career. I really want to win that cup. [Atletico] weren’t knocked out this year because we played poorly against big sides like Chelsea and Roma, but because we drew twice against Qarabag. That should not happen to us.”

”Being champions of Spain, of course, is very difficult, because Barcelona and [Real] Madrid have been at a really high level for many years. And they also have a budget much bigger than ours. But we will try every year and we hope that eventually it works.”

Griezmann is going to have to make up his mind at some point and soon too. He’s previously said he wants it decided before the World Cup which is just nine days away now.
