OFFICIAL: Mina Joins Everton for €30.25m

He will go to Everton but Barcelona will continue to keep tabs on him.

Yerry Mina will be an FC Barcelona player no longer, at least for a while. Everton will pay 30.25 million euros plus 1.5 in bonuses, for the signing of the Colombian defender.

Barcelona has officially confirmed the sale, noting that they will retain a buy-back clause for Mina. It’s not been specified how much it will cost.

Earlier reports had suggested Everton would pay 35 million, it seems possible that Barcelona exchanged a couple million for the rights to a buy back clause.

Mina signed from Palmeiras in the last transfer window, he only made a handful of appearances for Barça, but his stock rose exponentially as he scored three goals in the FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Barcelona are set to make a tidy profit in a short time on the player whom they signed for 11.5 million in January.
