Paul Pogba: “If You Don’t See Me With a Barça Shirt On, It’s Because I’m at United”
The midfielder says it’s all “just rumors.”
Paul Pogba has once again spoken on the rumors linking him to a switch from Manchester United to FC Barcelona. Speaking to the French TV show Téléfoot, Pogba said: “I have a contract. If you don’t see me with a Barça shirt on, it’s because I’m at United. Those are just rumors.”
The World Cup winner has been the subject of transfer speculation, with reports saying his agent, Mino Raiola, had traveled to Barcelona to offer his client’s services. Reports of a poor relationship with his coach, José Mourinho, have only put fuel in that particular fire.
At the moment, the Frenchman has stated he is focused on helping United. But he has admitted recently that he doesn’t know what the future holds.
Barcelona have followed him even before he joined United, but have yet to land him. Barça’s sporting secretary, Éric Abidal, is said to have a good relationship with him. That’s only generated even more speculation that Barcelona could pull off a gigantic deal.
