The final Champions League match of 2018 is the group stage finale for both Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur and it’ll take place at Camp Nou on Tuesday night. The Blaugrana come into this game as group winners and have nothing to play for, while Spurs must win to ensure Inter Milan cannot qualify in their place.

There is a massive difference in the level of intensity and focus from both sides. Barça know they don’t need to play well or win or give any sort of real effort, while Tottenham players will die if they have to. Ernesto Valverde is also expected to make a few changes to his team to see if young players and reserve can make a name for themselves, so it isn’t crazy to say that Spurs might be favorites to win this one.

Just how much do Barça care about this? Do they want to knock Spurs out to make sure they don’t come back to hurt the Catalans later in the competition? This is a fascinating game, and the 90 minutes should be really fun. Whether Barça really want to win or not.

POSSIBLE LINEUPS

Barcelona (4-3-3): Ter Stegen; Semedo, Piqué, Vermaelen, Alba; Vidal, Busquets, Aleñá; Messi, Suárez, Coutinho

Tottenham (4-2-3-1): Lloris; Walker-Peters, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose; Sissoko, Dier; Eriksen, Alli, Son; Kane

PREDICTION

I just don’t see Barça being 100% into this game, and Spurs naturally want and need this so much more. That’s why I think they’ll leave Camp Nou with a famous win: 3-2 Tottenham.
