Unai Emery talks Denis to Arsenal rumors

The midfielder has been linked with the Gunners

Arsenal manager Unai Emery was asked about speculation the Gunners are interested in Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez after his team’s FA Cup win over Blackpool on Saturday.

Reports have claimed that Arsenal are close to a move for Denis who is set to leave in the January transfer window in search of regular game time.

Emery did not give too much away but he admitted Arsenal are looking to sign players in the January window. He then gave his response when asked how close a deal for Denis is:

“I don’t know. I think the club is working for the possibility to take some players during the next month,” he said.

“He was playing in his career and with me, winger right and left.”

Emery managed Denis previously when the pair were at Sevilla, and reports have claimed the 24-year-old would be happy to work with his former boss again.

It’s unclear yet whether what type of deal Arsenal are looking for, but the Guardian reported Denis could cost around £20 million.
