Rumors: Rashford linked with Barcelona, Lenglet wanted by Napoli, Jović update

The latest in transfer gossip

Rashford on the agenda

FC Barcelona are interested in Marcus Rashford due to his technical ability and tactical flexibility, according to Mundo Deportivo. Rashford impresses a lot of important people in the Barça staff, the report says, due to his ability to play in the box and on the flanks. They know that his contract is up in 2020, and Manchester United have not been able to tie him down further. However, United want to renew his contract which would make transferring him very expensive.

Lenglet wanted by Napoli

Italian radio outlet Radio Marte is reporting that Napoli are interested in Clément Lenglet. The French defender was linked with moving to Italy last summer, but he ultimately chose Barcelona. Lenglet’s agent, Gregory Dakad, affirmed publicly that Napoli wanted the player in the 2018 transfer window. Lenglet has unexpectedly become a starter this season after a long-term injury to his countryman, Samuel Umtiti. “In football you can’t ever say anything using percentages like that,” Dakad said when asked if he could say with 100% certainty that Lenglet would not leave. “But I ask myself why he should leave. He is playing, he is winning, and he is at Barcelona.”

Jović update

Barcelona have made their minds up and want to bring in Luka Jović next summer, according to Diario SPORT. What’s more, now the team is trying to reach the Eintracht Frankfurt forward’s entourage to make it clear to him that they are serious. Éric Abidal has been reportedly working on the signing, trying to convince the player and his people that they are ready for him to arrive at Barcelona.
