Riqui Puig wants a ‘15-year career’ at Barcelona
The midfielder is not interested in a loan move
Riqui Puig has reiterated his commitment to Barcelona and says he wants a “15-year career” at the Camp Nou.
The midfielder has broken into the first team this season, but there have been reports the club could loan him out to gain more regular playing time.
Puig has already said he’s not really interested in leaving the club and touched on the subject again in an interview with Youtuber Koko DC.
“I would like to be in the first team squad, but I don’t decide that, the club does, but if I have to have another season at Barca B in Segunda B, I don’t mind. I will not go on loan. Outside of Barca it’s cold and you can’t leave Barca if they don’t chuck you out.
“I think my team-mates (who left) didn’t see a future here and they had to go. It has suited some of them well. They tell me I have a peculiar style of play. I could play for another team, but having this characteristic at Barca makes me better, that’s why I’ll stay here. A 15 year career at Barcelona.”

There is no doubting Puig’s quality and that he looks to have a really exciting future ahead of him, but it remains to be seen how much playing time he will get in the first team next season given the competition for places in midfield.
