Suarez warns Barca of the dangers of playing Liverpool at Anfield
The striker is back at his former club
Luis Suarez has warned Barcelona of the dangers at playing at Anfield ahead of the second leg of their Champions League semi-final against Liverpool on Tuesday.
Barcelona are big favourites to progress after a 3-0 win at the Camp Nou last week and with the hosts missing some key attackers in Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino due to injury.
However, Suarez says his team can not afford to be complacent and spoke about how the Liverpool supporters can play their part in helping their team.
“Our opponent has some great players who can make the difference,” he said.
“We don’t have to be complacent entering into this tie. The result doesn’t tell you the story because they created a lot of chances. It could have been 4-1 or 3-1. We have to be conscious how difficult it is to play in a Champions League semi-final against a team that made the final last year.
“We also have to be conscious that they have an added extra here. The fans are a 12th man. You would be playing a game in the fifth round in the cup and the stadium would be completely full. That is what motivated you.”

Suarez scored his first Champions League goal of the season in the first leg but has not found the back of the net on his travels in the competition since September 2015.
