Rivaldo tells Barca the one player they should sign

And it isn’t Antoine Griezmann

Rivaldo has been talking about Barcelona’s transfer plans for this summer and says they should bring back Neymar.

The Brazilian reckons his compatriot would be a far better option to strengthen Barcelona’s attack than Antoine Griezmann as he knows the club so well.

“If I could choose one player to sign for Barcelona this summer it would be Neymar,” he said.

“The fans already know what he can do, he proved his value to the club last time he was there and he combines nicely with Messi and Suarez. He’s also a good alternative to lead the attack when Messi isn’t available.

“Griezmann is a great player but signing him would be more of a gamble, as he’s never played at Barcelona or with Messi and Suarez. Of course, if he manages to perform like at Atleti he certainly could be a great addition to the team.”

Neymar’s departure from Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain left a bad taste, but Rivaldo also went on to say most fans would forgive the Brazilian if he came back and delivered the club the Champions League.
