Ernesto Valverde: I don’t know if Ivan Rakitic stays at Barcelona | Football Espana
Ernesto Valverde admits “he does not know” if Ivan Rakitic will stay at Barcelona beyond the current transfer window. The Croatian international’s current deal at the Camp Nou runs through until the summer of 2021 although Barca signed midfielders Arturo Vidal and Arthur Melo last year and have landed Frenkie De Jong from Ajax this summer.

This is according to ‘Le Parisien’ despite the rumours across Europe suggesting others. However, according to SPORT sources, Barcelona have made various offers to intermediaries which included players going the other way. PSG have said ‘no’ to every one of those proposals.

FC Barcelona held their final training session in the United States on Friday at the University of Michigan, around 24 hours before they play Napoli in their last game of the preseason. The team worked out at Michigan Stadium, also known as The Big House, which is the largest stadium in the United States — with a capacity of over 107,000 — and the second largest in the world.

Marc-AndrĂ© ter Stegen, Ivan Rakitic, Luis Suárez and Antoine Griezmann exchanged shirts with Danny Amendola, Marvin Jones Jr, Kerryon Johnson and A’Shawn Robinson.
