Coutinho is being called a “little wizard” by Bayern team-mate Pavard

The Barcelona star is making an impact on loan

Philippe Coutinho has featured a tiny little resurgence since moving to Bayern Munich last month. The Brazilian midfielder is on loan for a season from Barcelona to the German giants. The move has seen Bayern team-mate and French international Benjamin Pavard heap praise on Coutinho.

“[He is] a little wizard!” he said. “He is very discreet and really personable. First of all, a really fine guy. And, of course, a very good footballer.

“It’s very hard to get him off the ball. He’s not 100 per cent [fit] yet – he probably needs some more games, because he joined the team very late. But I’m sure, in a few weeks, we will see the world-class footballer Coutinho.”

As Barcelona fans, you can hope for a good season from Coutinho for a few different business-related reasons. However, the main reason should be just to see the confident, magical Coutinho we all got to see at Liverpool. I think that’s something all football fans can agree on.
