Fabian Ruiz could be a Barcelona target next summer

Reports claim the Napoli man is a priority

Barcelona may be looking at Fabian Ruiz as a transfer target for next summer. According to Mundo, Barcelona have been taking a peek at the Spanish midfielder for some time. The move wouldn’t be till next summer, but he appears to be a part of some longer term plans to re-stock and build the midfield around younger players.

Ruiz’s contact runs at Napoli till 2023, and he has earned three caps for the Spanish senior national team. Ruiz was impressive at Real Betis before moving to Napoli, where he has solidified his strengths as a midfielder to be desired.

Signing Ruiz next summer would complete the young midfield trio of Frenkie de Jong, Arthur, and then Ruiz. The Barcelona midfield refresh would be complete and the future would be a bit more clear.
