Imanol Alguacil says the GOAT wouldn’t fit in at his team

Real Sociedad coach Imanol Alguacil has been talking about Lionel Messi and reckons he would not fit in at his club and he’d get a headache from trying to coach the GOAT.

Alguacil’s side have had a pretty good start to the new season and are just three points behind Barcelona after eight games played in La Liga.

Yet the Spanish champions need never worry about Socieded trying to lure Messi to Anoeta, at least while Alguacil is in charge.

“He wouldn’t fit with the values and the way we are at Real Sociedad,” he said. “However, he’s an incredible player and does incredible things.

”But these values of humility, normality, these big players don’t have them, coaching Messi would give me headaches, even though I’d win more games.”

Barca are yet to face Sociedad in La Liga this season. They travel to the Basque side in December and then welcome them to the Camp Nou in March.
