The Italian champions’ squad is complete, apparently

Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici has ruled out signing Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic in the January transfer window.

Rakitic appears surplus to requirements this season at Barcelona, and there are rumors the club could look to cash in on the Croatian when the transfer window reopens this winter.

Inter Milan and Manchester United are the teams most regularly linked with Rakitic, although there have been a few whispers about interest from Juve.

Paratici was asked about the Barcelona midfielder on Monday and gave the following response:

“Our squad is complete and we consider it to be one of the best in Europe,” he said.

“We’re happy with our players. I’d rule out the arrival of a full-back. With Mandzukic, we chose a quiet time for him [to leave] but a move to Qatar did not materialise so he stayed with us.

“Now we’ll see what happens in January.”

Rakitic has made only one start for Barcelona this season, in the 2-0 defeat to Granada, and the latest speculation has claimed that both he and Carles Alena could be on their way out of Barca in January.
