The striker has been talking about his friendship with the GOAT

Luis Suarez has been talking about his relationship with Lionel Messi and explained how the Barcelona captain has helped him both on and off the pitch.

The two attackers have become good friends during their time together at the Camp Nou and Suarez says the duo hit it off right from the start.

“Messi has helped me a lot in my personal growth. We had an affinity from the beginning. From coexistence came friendship, and the moments I spent with him also helped on the pitch,” he said.

”Everyone knows that he is the best in the world. He has proven it and continues to prove it day after day.

”He has shown me his companionship a thousand times. He helped me when I was fighting for the Golden Boot as I was too. The other day, at Eibar, he gave me a goal.”

Suarez and Messi are set to clash for their national teams over the international break. Uruguay are scheduled to play Argentina in a friendly in Tel Aviv on Monday.
