Cucurella tells Carles Alena to join him at Getafe

The Barcelona midfielder could move in January

Marc Cucurella says Carles Alena would be welcome at Getafe amid speculation the midfielder could leave Barcelona in January on loan.

Alena is reportedly being pursued by both Getafe and Real Betis and could leave in search of some regular football in the second half of the season.

Cucurella would be more than happy to see Alena join him at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez and has spoken about the latest rumors.

“I would tell Aleñá to come here, we have been apart for many years. I don’t know what he will do, but he is welcome here,” he said.

Cucurella joined Getafe in the summer on a season-long loan and has started every La Liga match for José Bordalás’ side in 2019-20, scoring in Sunday’s 2-0 win over Valladolid.
