Barca & Real Madrid eyeing Van de Beek

Today’s rumors start with news that Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek is wanted by both Barcelona and Real Madrid next summer.

Sport are reporting that the 22-year-old has been told he can leave the Eredivisie side at the end of the season and is likely to cost around €50-60 million.

Real Madrid have already sat down for talks with his agent, but Barca have not ruled out entering the race and adding yet another midfielder to the squad.

Bayern to get Coutinho on the cheap?

Over at Bild the word is that Bayern may be able to sign Philippe Coutinho for less than his €120 million purchase option.

The Brazilian is on loan at Bayern and has a clause in his contract allowing him to join permanently, although it’s unlikely the Germany giants will pay the fee stipulated.

However, they may be able to afford a fee in the region of €80-100m which could be enough for Barca given there seems no place for Coutinho at the Camp Nou.

Barca meet Milan to discuss Todibo

Mundo Deportivo bring word from Italy that Barcelona and AC Milan have met to discuss the future of defender Jean-Clair Todibo.

Eric Abidal and Ramón Planes were at the meeting and are willing to listen to offers for the 19-year-old centre-back.

Barca are reportedly happy to sell for €10m but do want to include a buyback clause in the deal.

Barca keeping tabs on Pep

And finally today we end with news that Barca are keeping tabs on Pep Guardiola in case he decides to activate a break clause in his contract and leave Manchester City in the summer.

The Sunday Express has a big, shiny exclusive that claims Pep “is weighing up his options” and his wife has already returned to Barca with one of his three children.

Pep has repeatedly said he’s committed to City and open to a new contract but that is not stopping the Express who reckon Barca would “welcome Guardiola back with open arms” if he became available.
