Will Barça sell him?

Jean-Clair Todibo gained some fans in his first UEFA Champions League game of his budding career. The young defender played as part of a makeshift three-man line in an experimental lineup for Barcelona, who defeated an Inter Milan needing to win to advance.

Barça played the bench with the group already secured, and Todibo shone on the right side of a defensive line featuring Samuel Umtiti and Clément Lenglet. A young group of players got the job done for the Catalans, with promising talents Carles Pérez and Ansu Fati getting a goal each in a 2-1 win.

The youngster displayed confidence while passing or dribbling out of the back, and a good ability to cover and win aerial duels. While Lautaro MartĂnez and Romelu Lukaku proved a handful for Barcelona’s defense, Todibo had a good showing.

Still, rumors suggest Barcelona are going to sell him in the winter transfer market. While it’s expected Barça would only let him go with a buyback clause, that’s still hard to understand given that he seems to do well when called upon. Also, Barcelona do not have another fourth CB in the senior team, with B teamer Ronald AraĂºjo expected to step into the role if needed.

While AraĂºjo also shows promise, is it wise to let Todibo go? What does the coach and management see that we don’t?
