PSG willing to sell Neymar to Barcelona, eye Liverpool’s Mané as replacement - report
Can this happen?
Paris Saint-Germain have put Neymar “on the market” and are already looking at a possible replacement - none other than Liverpool’s Sadio Mané, according to reports.
The French club no longer asks for 300 million for the Brazilian, instead, they say an offer of 180 million euros will be enough. PSG wants to retain Kylian Mbappé at all costs, and are willing to let Neymar go in the process. That’s all according to Diario MARCA.
Barcelona, who were in for Neymar last transfer window, are considered the favorites to get him next summer. It’s expected Neymar will once again try to leave Ligue 1.
And his replacement could already be identified. France Football writes that Mané is PSG’s favorite to supplant the Brazilian star, should he leave. The report says Liverpool would not come to the table for anything less than 100 million, although it’s not unthinkable that the price for the world’s 4th best player, according to the Ballon d’Or rankings, could rise well above that. PSG may raise up to 200 million for Neymar’s sale, which they would use to fund, in part, the acquisition of several new players next summer.
