Rakitic: Barcelona is ‘the perfect place for me’
The midfielder has been tipped to leave
Ivan Rakitic has once again reiterated his desire to stay at Barcelona after Saturday’s 5-2 win over Real Mallorca.
The Croatian started the season on the bench but made his third consecutive start for the club at the Camp Nou and talked about wanting to stay after the match.
“After recent months a lot of things happened to me. Sometimes things happen that one can’t understand but has to accept,” he said.
“It happened to me. Nobody gives you anything. I want to give everything and if I can play here then I’ve always said there’s no better place than Barca to keep winning titles, it’s the perfect place for me.

There has been plenty of speculation that Rakitic would be sold in the January transfer window, with Carles Alena also expected to leave on loan.
However, his recent return to the first team suggests he may still have a future at Barcelona, and it will be interested to see what happens when the transfer window reopens.
