Rumors: Haaland, Dembele, Olmo and Klostermann
A look at the latest gossip
Barca signed KP Boateng over Haaland
Today’s rumors start with an intriguing report from AS who reckon that Barca signed Kevin-Prince Boateng over Erling Braut Haaland last January.
The Catalan giants wanted a back-up for Luis Suarez and had been attracted to Haaland after his exploits with Norwegian side FC Molde.
However, the club ultimately decided he was too raw and opted for Boateng instead who failed to make any impact at Barca in his brief spell.
Meanwhile, Haaland has gone on to make a name for himself as one of Europe’s most promising young strikers and was recently snapped up by Borussia Dortmund.
Dembele ‘likes’ Instagram post linking him with Liverpool
If it’s spurious transfer rumors you are after than look no further than the Metro who bring word of Ousmane Dembele’s social media activity.
The Frenchman has, wait for it, actually ‘liked’ an Instagram post showing him in a Liverpool kit and bringing word of a rumor about interest from the Reds.
Apparently the European champions are interested in bringing him to Anfield in the summer in a deal worth £80 million as Barcelona have already decided to sell him.
Barca leading Olmo race
Over at Goal the word is that Barcelona are leading the race to sign Dani Olmo from Dinamo Zagreb but face competition from Chelsea and Manchester United.
The youngster is said to be pushing for a January move, and Barcelona “feel confident” they can secure his signature for €30 million.
The Catalan giants believe Olmo can “come in and make an impact immediately in their first team,” but his price may rise due to interest from the two Premier League clubs.
Klostermann to replace Semedo?
And finally today we end with news that Barca are considering replacing Nelson Semedo with RB Leipzig right-back Lukas Klostermann.
Sport reckon that Sky Sports have been reporting that Ernesto Valverde thinks he’d been the perfect replacement for the Portugal international who could leave in the summer.
Klostermann is a player in demand though, he is also being chased by Bayern Munich and Juventus and has a release clause of €35 million.
