Barca tell Vidal he’s going nowhere in January
The club want the midfielder to stay
Arturo Vidal’s future continues to make headlines and the latest comes from Sport who reckon Barcelona have told the midfielder he is staying at the Camp Nou.
The Chilean is wanted by Inter Milan in the January transfer window, but Barca have told him they want to keep him and have promised him game time for the rest of the season.
Barca reportedly have a “firm offer” from Inter but have made it clear to Antonio Conte’s side they are not willing to sell in the January transfer window.
The report reckons Barca are confident Vidal will accept his role in the squad until the end of the season as he gets on well with the senior members of the squad and is liked by fans.
He is also likely to enjoy more game time in the second half of the season now that Carles Alena has departed and with doubts over Arthur’s fitness.
Sport believe that the only way Vidal will now depart is if Inter Milan make an offer that’s simply too good to turn down of if the Chilean agitates for a move.
