Barcelona still is switching off before corners
They haven’t learned their lesson
Pictures and video from Barcelona’s 1-1 draw with Napoli shows the Catalans have yet to learn their lesson. Liverpool famously scored from a quick corner against Barça last season in the UEFA Champions League, but that catastrophe hasn’t been enough to clue them in.
A picture from the 85th minute showed a Barcelona not fully focused on a corner about to be taken by the Italians.

Antonie Griezmann and Sergio Busquets were looking upfield, while Nélson Semedo and Arthur had their backs turned. Ansu Fati appears to be looking at the ground, while Gerard Piqué seems to be shouting instructions but also not looking at the ball. Perhaps Samuel Umtiti is glancing towards the ball, although it’s not clear how focused he is.

A video shows it’s a recurring problem. Semedo in added time blocked a cross out for a corner, then turned slowly to walk towards goal. Napoli appeared to be ready to take a quick corner, and the fullback didn’t react until a very annoyed Marc-André ter Stegen shouted at him to be ready to defend it.
This is not the first time the team has been caught napping in this situation; it’s happened a couple of times this season.
